The Socialist Democrat spending package known as the “Build Back Better” plan should really be dubbed “The Biden Budget Bomb". I really appreciate Congressman Kevin Hern representing Oklahomans well with a “no” vote, but the 100% partisan package unfortunately has been sent from the U.S. House to the U.S. Senate. The fate of the gargantuan socialist and climate spending bill now resides in the hands of Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.
A poll shows that once voters learn what is in the plan, a majority do not like it. According to a recent Rasmussen Survey, 60% of Americans oppose payments to illegal immigrants. 70% oppose the IRS snooping on bank accounts. Only 19% favor a tax credit for print journalists and 78% favor job requirements to receive welfare benefits.
One of my favorite economists, Larry Kudlow, likes to say “save America, kill the bill.” The trashcan would be a great resting place for this 2000+ page bill. Kudos to Senator James Lankford for leading the charge to kill the payments to illegal immigrants. If the bill does survive, we hope the other crazy socialist schemes will also get deleted.
