Mazzei Minute 11/29/21

Most Americans think the country is on the wrong track as we move past Thanksgiving Day and head into the Christmas Season.

Rather than celebrate American innovation and stellar record profits, Liberals gape at successful business owners and label them greedy wanton capitalists. Conservatives, meanwhile, fear the republic is about to crumble under the weight of foolish, socialist leadership in Washington, D.C.

The truth is that America is still the greatest country in the world and will continue to be so. My recent travels prove this point.

We were just in Waco, Texas on a spectacular sunny day to enjoy the fun and fellowship of a great college football battle between Baylor (which my son Jackson attends) and OU (which my son Caleb attends).

We went back home to Tulsa briefly and saw my daughter and first year nurse Mykaela, who works in a world class ICU at St. Francis Hospital. Then we were off to New York City to be with Disney daughter Chrissy for her first Manhattan audition experience and take in the marvelous sights and sounds of the Big Apple.

I am grateful for a nation with so many magnificent achievements in so many different fields of sports, academics, health care, aerospace, entertainment, and architecture. I am grateful for healthy children who are using their unique abilities to pursue their life’s callings. I am grateful for physical restoration so that I can travel and support my kids in their endeavors, and I am very grateful to be an American, where all these marvelous experiences are possible in just a few days times.
